AerCap’s latest note issuance shows price of funding for lessors rising

AerCap priced its most recent unsecured notes issuance in late September, its third issuance of the year, with the increase in pricing when compared to its January 2026 issuance indicating increasing unsecured funding costs for the aircraft leasing market.

Azorra strategy awarded with upgrade from S&P

The lessor's CFO said the recognition for the strong progress on executing its investment and financing strategies is 'another step' in its broader goal of achieving investment-grade ratings. S&P Global Ratings has raised Azorra's issuer credit rating to ‘BB’ from ‘BB-’ with the company's outlook revised to Stable from Positive. The credit rating agency said it expected the lessor's orderbook pipeline and secondary market transactions to 'continue to support fleet expansion and revenue growth over the next 12-24 months.'

Lesha Bank boosts portfolio with major Avolon trade

Lesha Bank has followed up its recent acquisitions, including AA4+, with a deal to buy another portfolio of aircraft, this time from Avolon. The agreement will see the bank’s specialist investment structure acquire 33 aircraft, currently on lease to 25 airlines, on behalf of Lesha Aviation Fund. The deal brings its portfolio to 75 aircraft and is the next step in its goal to grow its Shari’a-compliant aviation investment platform into a pillar of the bank’s business.

Avation returns to profit, reports strong progress on debt reduction

The latest financial results from Avation point to ‘a significant year of progress’ according to the listed lessor’s executive chairman Jeff Chatfield which has seen it return to profit in the year to end of June 2026, significantly reduce its outstanding debt and receive an upgrade from S&P Global Ratings.
