ICBC Leasing orders 50 Airbus A320s to be managed out of Irish office
ICBC Leasing has signed an order with Airbus for 50 A320-family aircraft in Beijing on August 30th. The transaction will be finalised by ICBC Leasing's Irish team and any international transactions relating to the 50 aircraft will be marketed and booked out of Ireland. ICBC International Leasing was incorporated in Ireland in 2010 and is the company's international headquarters outside of China.


Aercap leased five aircraft and increased debt facilities by $200 million in Q3
October 13th: AerCap Holdings N.V signed new lease agreements for five aircraft, delivered nine aircraft under lease agreements, purchased four aircraft, and sold six aircraft, and signed contracts for the sale of one aircraft from their managed portfolio in Q3

 

Aeromexico places $11 billion order with Boeing
July 26th: Aeromexico have placed a provisional order with Boeing worth an estimated $11 billion. The order for 90 737 MAX 8 planes and 10 787-9 Dreamliners represents the biggest aircraft investment by a Mexican airline in that country's history. The Dreamliners are due to begin arriving in the summer of 2013 and the 737 MAX 8 will be delivered starting in 2018. General Electric will provide engines for the 10 Dreamliners in a deal worth $400 million and a joint venture between General Electric and France's Safran will supply engines for the 737s.


Avolon broadens customer base and expands funding by $600m
September 26th: Avolon has announced nine aircraft leases to AirAsia and Ryanair which broadens the lessor’s customer base to include leading LCCs in Europe and Asia. AirAsia is taking four A320s on seven year leases while Ryanair is getting five Boeing 737-800s over twelve year periods. Seven of the jets are delivered this week with another two due in 2012.
