Irish aircraft lessor Avolon has published a commemorative photo book celebrating Ireland's aviation heritage. The book launch took place in Dublin at Baldonnel aerodrome and included the inaugural flight of the Irish Historic Flight Foundation, an initiative for Ireland’s aviation industry organized by the Irish Aviation Authority. The book is a spin-off of the Avolon-commissioned documentary of the same name, which premiered in 2013 which Avolon commissioned in 2013. The book aims to illustrate and memorialise the story of Ireland’s role in shaping the global aviation industry over the last century.
