Virginia Fox is Chief Risk Officer for GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the $41 billion commercial aircraft financing and leasing unit of GE. Virginia joined GE in 1995 as a financial accountant, followed by management roles in accounting and risk management. In 2004, she assumed the role of SVP, International Structured Finance, followed by a specialist role as Global Restructure Leader in 2009 to provide strategic direction on aircraft restructuring terms following the financial crisis. In 2011, she accepted the role of SVP, International Structured Finance & Aircraft Investments for GECAS, where she was responsible for structuring $4-5B annually in aircraft investments. In 2015, Virginia was appointed to Managing Director, Underwriting & Portfolio, with responsibility for leading the risk underwriting and portfolio management function for GECAS. She was named Chief Risk Officer in 2017. Virginia holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and microbiology from University College Cork, National University of Ireland, a professional certification in accounting from Dublin City University, and she is trained as certified accountant with KPMG. She is a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and has attended GE Crotonville's Executive Leader's Challenge. Virginia is based in Shannon, Ireland.
