Nervous equity markets in the Aviation Complex, as sector corrects
A general stock market sell off in equity markets in October allied with fears over the Ebola virus has led to a decline in airlines and aviation share prices, before a recovery on Friday October.17 that continued into the week beginning October 20th. US airlines have been less affected than others, buoyed by the recent strength of the dollar. The weak oil price is an overall positive for air transport.
